Peterbilt Model 579EV
The all-electric Peterbilt Model 579EV is a zero-emissions Class 8 truck built for clean, quiet, and cost-efficient operations. The Model 579EV combines the aerodynamic benefits, driver comforts and superior visibility of the diesel Model 579 with EV-exclusive styling and technology as well as the all-new PACCAR ePowertrain.
The next-generation Peterbilt 579EV is ideal for short-haul and drayage applications, where frequent stops and starts allow the adjustable regenerative braking system to extend the vehicle's range and maximize efficiency. Under the hood, the PACCAR ePowertrain features a midship-mounted eMotor that delivers up to 605 hp and a 3-speed transmission for seamless shifting with no torque interruption. Choose from three high-voltage battery options — ranging from 250 to 500 kWh — offering a range of 100 to 200 miles on a single charge. The ePowertrain’s flexible architecture is adaptable for any wheelbase over 190” and supports seamless body integration with multiple ePTO options. And inside the cab, a 15” digital touchscreen puts essential EV data at your fingertips, including estimated range, power regeneration and efficiency insights.
