Peterbilt Model 220
A compact medium-duty solution for delivery, beverage and refuse applications, the Peterbilt Model 220 does it all — safely, in comfort and in style. Its low-weight chassis enables better fuel economy and lower emissions, even when hauling high-volume payloads. The single rear axle offers a tight turning radius for added maneuverability, while the expansive windshield and large side windows provide exceptional visibility — perfect for navigating busy urban environments. An Allison automatic transmission and air disc brakes come standard for excellent drivability and performance. And with GVWR options ranging from 26,000 to 33,000 lbs., the Model 220 can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
The Peterbilt 220 is uniquely designed for driver productivity and uptime with a removable front panel that provides quick access to essential components. The spacious, ergonomic interior features a wrap-around dash with a driver information display and a multi-function steering wheel. A right-hand drive configuration is also available for specialized applications, such as street sweeper and paint striper. Powering the 220 is the lightweight PACCAR PX-7 engine, equipped with a Common Rail Fuel System that improves fuel efficiency without compromising performance. The result is a quieter, cleaner, and more efficient ride — whether in town or on the highway.
