D-Series Commercial Bus
The Micro Bird D-Series is a versatile mid-size commercial bus designed for tours, assisted living, public transit and shuttle applications. It can be built to accommodate various configurations with customizable options and can seat up to 28 passengers in multiple available floor plans. Its extra-wide body maximizes passenger space, while specialized configurations cater to specific needs. The MD Edition, ideal for airport, car rental, parking, and hotel transport, features a wider door and 74” of luggage rack space, while the DS-Series is ADA-compliant with a wheelchair lift and securement system for special-needs passengers.
The Micro Bird D-Series is available on a Ford chassis with a 7.3L V8 gas engine or a GMC chassis with a 6.0L gas engine. The D-Series also offers a cleaner propane powertrain option via ROUSH CleanTech's Gen5 propane fuel system. Safety and durability are prioritized with six longitudinal structural beams, a one-piece galvanized steel roof, and aluminum side body panels. The unobstructed "More-View" window maximizes driver visibility, and the available DLX luxury interior package enhances passenger comfort with an upgraded grey vinyl finish.
